In this episode, we discussed why sleep deprivation often leads to weight gain. If you’re struggling with sleep apnea and weight loss, or insomnia and weight loss, know that there is a big link between sleep deprivation and disease.

Sleep deprivation has been linked with obesity, dementia, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and more. Weight loss isn’t about balancing your calories, it’s about lowering your insulin resistance and inflammation. Sleep helps accomplish both of these goals.
